Dinosaur sex.

Some days I need to die. Other days I need to watch Dinosaur Sex.

A sudden death, Brother.

Reigning from Vancouver come The Organ, a five-piece girl band that I have just discovered are parting ways. As a group they created some cleverly dark and heart-broken songs in the vein of New Wave but with some modern elements as well. Their musical style was never so unique, but the addition of an organ to the band and the powerful vocals delivered by Katie Sketch were among the most unique. The lyrics seem to come from an emotionally broken and rampant place, mostly dealing with love and hurt but presenting it in an entirely different way than many other artists have. Please enjoy.

The Organ - Brother
The Organ - Love, Love, Love
The Organ - Sinking Hearts
The Organ - A Sudden Death

My hands.

My hands are becoming old hands, weathered with work and time. There is dirt bordering the fingernails and splits all the way through, matching blisters and enhanced lines from the stress that they've been through. My hands are turning old, my friends, and I fear that I will too. The parting ways between child's youth and a life of work are showing. My eyes are dimming as well, it seems, less life than there once was.
