The start of something.

Voxtrot, my brothers and sisters, are the thought- provoking and melody- driven souls of indie-pop. Deriving from Austin, Texas, this intelligent and hopelessly charming four-piece band deliver what many can not. Good music. Good songwriting. Good vocals. Good packaging. Fulfillment to a listener, admirer, spectator, and dozens upon dozens upon hundreds of young girls' hearts and fantasies. Yes, they may be one of those groups that releases one or two or a few good albums and then opts out, one that soon may fall out of the public's interest, or one that may never be so popular, but if any of these may come to be then it will be a very unfortunate day, my dears, for Voxtrot, my brothers and sisters, is a band that does not release one good single and carries on with a career's worth of mediocre tunes. Voxtrot delivers time and time again, always with a song of brilliance and catchiness; songs that can be listened to over and over again, whether you're sitting on your bed with your great and big headphones or driving through the woods on a cloudy day. They are a band to be enjoyed, and please do nothing less.

The world's greatest cowards.

From Sweden, Stum is a band that you can only feel a bit honored to listen to, particularly with their skilled musicianship and making every song available for download. It is hard to grasp at how a band as this can go by unnoticed. Their style doesn't define having broken any real boundaries, but it does reflect glimpses of the softer side of Marilyn Manson, Depeche Mode, Blonde Redhead, among others that are of a more down-tempo electronic-rock nature. The majority of their songs are in English while others are in German, and being that I have little time to finish this post, I will only provide links to the English ones. Do enjoy!

Stum - A Sigh Too Deep
Stum - Everything You Hate
Stum - My Disease
Stum - The Inside
Stum - It's Shining Through
Stum - Never Meant for This
Stum - Exhale
Stum - For Ever
Stum - Who Am I
Stum - World's Greatest Coward
Stum - The Silence Of
Stum - Moment of Silence
Stum - Almost Like Sleep
Stum - Tears Run Dry
Stum - Bits and Pieces
Stum - Without Words

The end of something beautiful.

I've never felt so betrayed and misunderstanding. Altogether I may have just broke.

Emporium.

This is the first demo and experiment in live sound that I have made for the project of QR9P2. I have since made Emporium II, and Emporium III, but those are not due to be released yet, if at all. Emporium was recorded in one hour after having finished my first day of work at the zoo, as tired as I was and as peaceful as the house was empty.
At this time I find myself checking my mailbox as if it were a tick, just waiting for someone to write me, call me, anything at all. Today is lonely.

Well, to return to the topic, here is the four-song demo complete for download in its 15 minute glory.

Airiel and other loves.

I browsed the web today and I looked for some artists to call my own and to have discovered, and with this in mind I discovered Airiel among a nice array of other smaller bands, which I hope you will enjoy. With this post I will be setting the format for the most of my upcoming posts, the majority of which will just be telling of the bands I have found in a day. Among the artists of today are: Airiel, Lassigue Bendthaus, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Patrick Wolf, Pelle Carlberg, Secret Shine, The Album Leaf, and The Snow Fairies. I also aquired songs by other artists, but they are ones that I have known of. I will post links to those as well.
